Syracuse, N.Y. — The developer of the proposed 291-unit Gateway Apartments project in Syracuse is seeking $24 million in tax breaks stretching over 15 years.
The Syracuse Industrial Development Agency will hold a public hearing Tuesday on developer Christopher Geiger’s request for $18.3 million in property tax discounts, $4.7 million in sales tax exemptions on construction materials and a $696,148 exemption from the state mortgage tax.
