Description
Forgot I got this set from many years ago at an old estate auction, just found it all wrapped up as I go through my downsizing mode. Here's an absolutely gorgeous Hulse Adderly polychrome transferware underglaze coffee pot with a domed lid & bar finial. The coffee pot stands 9" high, including the finial of the lid. It has a pronounced swan spout and "S" scroll handle. The matching master sugar bowl is 7 1/4" high. The matching creamer is 6 1/4" high. The only flaw on any of the pieces is a minor 1/2" hairline at the top rim of the sugar bowl (see photos). No chips around the rims or spouts. Remarkably, no crazing anywhere. I'm selling these 3 pieces together, they are part of a set. The rest of the set is made up of 47 pieces, with cups, saucers, berry bowls, and a platter. That will all be sold separately. Apparently, this pattern was used by Mrs. Andrew Johnson at the private residence of The President in the late 1860's. These pieces are all a nice bright white, and the colors are still vivid. You'll be the only kid on the block with this set if you have it in your china cabinet. Truly eye catching. Shipping in the US is . If shipping should be less (depending upon how far you are from Cleveland, OH), I will refund any unused shipping funds.
